FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about purchasing original art, shipping, custom commissions, and more from Toledo's Legacy Art.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, Toledo's Legacy Art ships original artworks and prints worldwide. Shipping costs and delivery times are calculated at checkout based on your location. Please note that international buyers are responsible for any customs duties or import taxes incurred upon delivery.
How long does it take to receive my artwork?
For available original paintings and standard prints, orders are typically processed and shipped within 3-5 business days. Domestic delivery within the US usually takes 3-7 days, while international shipping can take 1-3 weeks depending on customs. Custom commissions have specific timelines that will be discussed during your consultation.
Do you accept custom art commissions?
Yes, Toledo's Legacy accepts a limited number of custom art commissions throughout the year. If you are interested in a bespoke piece tailored to your space, please reach out via our contact page to discuss your vision, sizing, and pricing. A standard 50% deposit is required to begin commission work.
What is your return and refund policy?
We want you to be completely thrilled with your new artwork. Due to the delicate nature of original art, all sales are generally considered final. However, if a piece arrives damaged in transit, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the packaging and artwork so we can promptly resolve the issue.
Are the artworks framed?
Original paintings on stretched canvas typically arrive ready to hang with a wired backing, with the edges cleanly painted. Works on paper and prints are generally shipped unframed and carefully rolled in a protective tube to ensure safe transit, allowing you the freedom to choose a frame that matches your personal decor.
How do I care for my original painting or print?
To ensure the longevity of your artwork, keep it out of direct, continuous sunlight to prevent fading. Avoid hanging art in areas with high humidity or extreme temperature fluctuations, such as directly above a working fireplace or in a poorly ventilated bathroom. For canvas pieces, lightly dust with a soft, dry micro-fiber cloth.
Do I own the copyright once I purchase an original piece?
When you purchase an original artwork from Luisetoledoart.com, you own the physical piece of art to display and enjoy. However, the artist, Toledo's Legacy, retains all original copyright and reproduction rights. The artwork may not be reproduced, altered, or used for any commercial purposes without explicit written permission from the artist.
